Promoting the use of implementation, evaluation, and quality improvement (QI) methods to optimize system improvement efforts

QUERI is funding two field-based resource centers – CEIR and EPIC – to provide expertise, training, and evaluation to researchers, providers and other frontline staff, managers, and health system leaders to enhance implementation, evaluation, and QI efforts across VA and accelerate systemwide care improvements. 

CEIR QUERI’s Center for Evaluation and Implementation Resources (CEIR) provides time-sensitive consultation and support to help VA operations leaders, policymakers, managers, and providers scale-up and spread promising innovations and effective policies, programs, and practices. EPIC QUERI’s Evidence, Policy, and Implementation Center (EPIC) is expanding VA research capacity to conduct state-of-the-art implementation science and enhance the real-world impact of research. EPIC is developing methods, metrics, and practical products and organizing QUERI implementation science trainings, meetings, and forums to help accelerate the translation of research discoveries and transform health care and policy in VA.
