About

The VA Center for Implementation Practice and Research Support (CIPRS) serves as a resource center for the Quality Enhancement Research Initiative (QUERI). CIPRS aims to facilitate accelerated improvement in the quality and performance of the VA healthcare delivery system through enhanced VA implementation practice and research. CIPRS collaborates with CIDER, HERC and VIReC in assessing and meeting the needs of the VA implementation community.

Mission and Goals

CIPRS works closely with QUERI leadership to assist QUERI researchers as they generate knowledge about how to improve the links between scientific methods, innovations, and guidelines on the one hand and clinical policy, programs, and quality improvement on the other. The CIPRS Strategic Plan outlines specific goals which will direct the focus of CIPRS work during the fiscal year 2014-2015.

Goal 1: Partnerships and Impacts: Support the QUERI Program by measuring the depth and breadth of current QUERI partnerships and impacts and develop measures for "partnership success" for future reporting.

Goal 2: Develop Resources on Implementation Science/Quality Improvement Methods: Develop resources for QUERI researchers on innovative implementation science and quality improvement strategies and methods, with the goal of increasing the likelihood that QUERI researchers will be successful in implementing partnered interventions into practice.

Goal 3: Dissemination of Resources on Implementation Science/Quality Improvement Methods: Disseminate resources for QUERI researchers on innovative implementation science and quality improvement strategies and methods, with the goal of increasing the likelihood that QUERI researchers will be successful in implementing partnered interventions into practice.
